Een wandelingetje
My grandparents and I are on a path, heading forward in our respective timelines. My grandpa leads, my grandma follows shortly behind, and I follow from a greater distance. Een wandelingetje (Dutch: “A Walk”) is a single-take handheld video recording that muses on themes of direction and the passing of life as it documents my grandparents on a daily walk near their home in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
